We are happy to announce the nomination of the Sonic Adventure Project
in the
2006 "Just Plain Folks Music Awards".
We received a nomination for the track "Forty-two" in the "Ambient Song" category as well as a nomination for the album "Exergonic" in the "Ambient Album" category.
The "Just Plain Folks Music Awards" are certainly among the largest music awards out there. This year they received 25,500 albums and 350,000 songs from over 100 countries and territories. And although they have many nominees in different categories on average less than 1 in 300 songs got nominated and less than 1 in 50 albums. In larger categories, those numbers were well under 1 in 1000.
Sonic Adventure Project's "Exergonic" made the Top 3 in the "2006 Independent Music Awards". To be precise, in the "2006 Album of the Year", category Dance/Electronica.
Some of this year's Judges included names like: Norah Jones, Melissa Etheridge, Joe Perry, Bill Wyman, George Clinton...
